Together with Slagwerk Den Haag and Senegalese musician Pape Seck and dancer/choreographer Awa Seck, we explores themes like family, resilience, and the enduring human spirit.

Exploring empathy
ISLANDS of EMPATHY is a collaboration with Senegalese griots; storytellers who keep traditions and history alive with dance, music and poetry. In the summer of 2023, we headed to Senegal; to talk with spiritual leaders, dancers and artists about empathy and community. These intercultural conversations formed the blueprint for this performance.
